Located at the heart of the Bonn City Centre and over the Koblenz gate, the Egyptian Museum of the University of Bonn displays some of the most beautiful and interesting items that come from Egypt. With around 700 exhibited objects, it is the most significant Egyptian collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The permanent exhibition contains an extensive number of pictures about ancient Egyptian cultural history from the 4th millennium BC to the 3rd century. The objects provide a comprehensive overview of the ancient civilization along the Nile River. In addition to concepts of the cult of the dead and the afterlife, the exhibition is dedicated to the temples, the role of the pharaoh in the cult, and the relationship between humans and gods. Clothing, jewelry, and tools give visitors an understanding of everyday life at the time. Inscribed papyri and numerous other objects illustrate the country's rich written culture. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the Egyptian Museum regularly shows special presentations on various topics, ranging from classical cultural history to contemporary photography.

The entire holdings of the Bonn Collection of the Americas are exhibited on an area covering 300 m². This enables the BASA to fulfill its mission as a collection for research purposes and provide students and academics with easy access to the objects. Temporary exhibitions are designed for visitors on the first floor, and the magazine shows excerpts of the BASA's most important and exciting objects. In line with research and teaching, the collection focuses on archaeological finds and ethnological exhibits from the regions of Central and South America. However, the almost 8,500 objects also include numerous treasures from Africa, Australia/Oceania, and Asia.

The academic art museum, also known as the classical collection of the University of Bonn, is one of the oldest museums in Bonn. Since its beginnings in 1818, its mission has been to collect Graeco-Roman artifacts from the Mediterranean region either as replicas or originals. The museum owns one of the largest plaster cast collections in Germany with around 2700 plaster casts from statues, reliefs and craftworks. The original collection contains many thousands of antique works made of clay, stone, metal, glass and organic materials, which provide a wide range of insights into the world of antiquity. In addition to regular museum operations, the museum also offers lectures, guided tours, drawing courses, special exhibitions, and research projects.
As the historic building at Hofgarten is currently being renovated, the museum has temporarily moved to alternative premises at Römerstraße 164. The original collection will be presented there in its usual scope, while the cast collection will be presented with a small, representative selection.

The display collection of plaster casts of sculptures from late antiquity to the 19th century offers valuable study material for teaching and research. The remarkable old stock is constantly being extended and expanded, most recently by the new Department of Italian Studies.
The Paul-Clemen-Museum also possesses a growing collection of contemporary artifacts and a selection of remakes from the modern age used for teaching purposes. In addition, the museum installs resonance space for temporary exhibitions on current and historical themes, which are organized by the KHI exhibition group or curatorial initiatives from the student body or teaching staff. The cooperation with the Parisian "Musée Caché", whose director, the Argentinian artist Ariel Kupfer, has opened a branch in the rooms of the PCM and which has been an interactive challenge for our visitors since 2016, deserves special mention.
