Habilitation
The habilitation is the highest university qualification examination at the Faculty of Arts.
Habilitation Procedure
The habilitation serves for the verification of the ability to independently conduct excellent performance in teaching and research in various disciplines at the Faculty of Arts.
The habilitation achievement consists of one written and two oral parts. Eventually its qualification not only certifies the ability to teach but also authorised the candidates to teach. The last authorisation to teach is required in oder to award the title of Privatdozentin or Privatdozent.
The sequential steps are organised according to the habilitation regulation and they will be discussed with the candidates after their first introductory presentation.
