Overview of the Advisory Boards
Faculty Council
The Faculty Council decides on the distribution and use of faculty resources (funds, equipments and personnel) and is responsible for the questions concerning teaching and research.
Doctoral Committee
The Doctoral Committee is responsible for the execution of doctoral examination procedures.
Structural Commission
The Structural Commission is established by the Faculty Council. It advises on structural issues of the Faculty and provides the Dean's Office and the Faculty Council suggestions on how to reach decisions.
Tenure Track Commission
The Tenure Track Commission is established by the Faculty Council. It is responsible for the adequate organisation and development of the academic tenured post. Furthermore, it conducts interim as well as final evaluations. The Tenure Track Commission supervises the organisation and development of the respective tenured post over the entire period from the advertisement to the final evaluation.
Advisory Board for Academic Affairs
According to § 28 Abs. 8 HG, the Advisory Board for Academic Affairs advises the Faculty Council and the Dean's Office on all academic affairs concerning teaching, study and examination, especially the study reform, the evaluation of teaching and study, cancellation, and amendment of examination regulations.
Quality Improvement Commission
The Quality Improvement Commission advises the Dean's Office on the distribution of funds that are allocated for quality improvement.
Examination Board
Tasks: Supervision of the compliance with examination regulations as well as the adequate execution of examinations (announcement of appointments and deadlines for examinations, appointment of examiner); Decision on the recognition of academic achievements; Decision by disagreement, by individual request and on hardship cases; Permission of cumpulsory attendance as well as the study achievements, if they are not explicitly regulated in specific regulations; Regular reports (at least once per year) on examination procedures; Developmet of proposal and reform of the examination regulations; Permission of new elective modules.
Lectureship and Capacity Enquiries Commission
The Lectureship and Capacity Enquiries Commission ensures adequate coordination of lectureship and capacity enquiries.
